Es gibt kein Skript, keine vorgefassten Gedanken oder Ideen – nur die grenzenlose kreative Freiheit von Rudstrøm und Kimmig. Aus Leere formen sie den Moment zu Tanz, Musik, Erzählung und Gesang. Am Schnittpunkt von Gegenwart, Imagination und persönlicher Lebenserfahrung erschaffen sie vor den Augen des Publikums Figuren, Bilder und Geschichten. Eine unberechenbare und absolut einzigartige Reise durch die Vielfalt menschlicher Emotionen und Erfahrungen.
Sten Rudstrøm ist ein Improvisator, Performer und Choreograf, der die Grenzen des körperlichen Ausdrucks im Theater erweitert und die formalen und physischen Aspekte des Acion Theaters geprägt hat. Harald Kimmig, bekannt als Geiger und Performer, zeichnet sich durch seinen radikalen Ansatz in der Violinmusik aus und hat die Integration von Bewegung und Musik in seinen Aufführungen perfektioniert. Beide Künstler verfügen über umfangreiche Erfahrung in der Improvisation, die sie in ihren Performances und Konzerten eindrucksvoll zum Ausdruck bringen. Ein zentraler Aspekt ihrer Zusammenarbeit ist die spontane Reaktion auf den Moment und die unmittelbare körperliche Präsenz. Aus unterschiedlichen künstlerischen Hintergründen stammend – Rudstrøm ist in der Acion Theatermethode verwurzelt, während Kimmig aus der Musikszene kommt – kreieren sie gemeinsam lebendige, dynamische und unvorhersehbare Aufführungen, die das Publikum fesseln.
Sten Rudstrøm, Improvisator/Performer/Choreograf, Berlin. Er gründete das Action Theater™ Berlin sowie zwei Improvisationsensembles: Streugut und EAT (International Action Theater Ensemble). Jüngste Aufführungen: White Walls & Electricity/Berlin (2025); Next Step Is/Freiburg (2024), ONCE! Festival /Freiburg (2023); 48Hours Neukölln/Berlin (2020). Er ist künstlerischer Leiter des NOW! Festival of Improvisation/Berlin; Jurypreisträger 2022 beim Solo/Duo Festival, Barnes Crossing /Köln; und wird vom Fonds Darstellende Künste und Dis-Tanzen Solo unterstützt.
Harald Kimmig ist improvisierender Musiker, Performer und Komponist. In einen Arbeiten geht es ihm um die Erforschung von Klängen und Formen mittels der Improvisation und deren mit Verbindungen mit anderen Künsten. In seinen Musik-Ensembles spielt er vor allem improvisierte Musik . Beeindruckend ist der Kosmos aus Klängen, den er auf seiner Violine entstehen lässt. Auf virtuose Art kombiniert er auf dem Instrument erzeugte Geräusche mit konventionellem Violinspiel. So hat er über die Jahre einen einzigartigen, unverwechselbaren Stil entwickelt.
In der Vergangenheit arbeitete er u.a. mit Peter Kowald, Cecil Taylor, John Tchicai, Steve Lacy. Aktuell ist er neben Solo-Programmen im Trio Kimmig-Studer Zimmerlin, im Trio KHW (mit Sascha Henkel, Gitarre, und Christian Weber, Kontrabass) , im Duo mit eriKm(electronics), im Duo mit Ephraim Wegner(electronics), Lilo Stahl (Tanz) u.a. zu hören.
Für seine Performance ‚Interface‘ erhielt er 2019 den Tanz- und Theaterpreis des Landes Baden-Württemberg und der Stadt Stuttgart.

There is no script, no preconceived thoughts or ideas – only the boundless creative freedom of Rudstrøm and Kimmig. From emptiness, they shape the moment into dance, music, storytelling, and song. Sten Rudstrøm is an improviser, performer, and choreographer, who has expanded the boundaries of physical expression in theatre and shaped the formal and physical aspects of AcIon Theatre. Harald Kimmig, known as a violinist and performer, is distInguished by his radical approach to violin music and has perfected the integratIon of movement and music in his performances. Both artists have extensive experience in improvisation, which they express impressively in their performances and concerts. A central aspect of their collaboratIon is the spontaneous response to the moment and the immediate physical presence. Hailing from different artistic backgrounds – Rudstrøm rooted in the AcIon Theatre method, while Kimmig comes from the music scene, together they create vivid, dynamic, and unpredictable performances that captivatel audiences.

Harald Kimmig is an improvising musician, performer, and composer. His work explores sounds and forms through improvisation and their connections with other art forms. In his musical ensembles, he primarily plays improvised music. The cosmos of sounds he creates on his violin is impressive. He virtuosically combines sounds produced on the instrument with conventional violin playing. Over the years, he has developed a unique, distinctive style.In the past, he has worked with Peter Kowald, Cecil Taylor, John Tchicai, and Steve Lacy, among others. In addition to solo performances, he can currently be heard in the Trio Kimmig-Studer Zimmerlin, the Trio KHW (with Sascha Henkel, guitar, and Christian Weber, double bass), in a duo with eriKm (electronics), in a duo with Ephraim Wegner (electronics), Lilo Stahl (dance), and others.He received the 2019 Dance and Theater Prize of the State of Baden-Württemberg and the City of Stuttgart for his performance “Interface.”Numerous CD and radio productions have been made.
