Action Theater™ physical improvisation workshop
Sten Rudstrøm/ Shinichi Iova-Koga
2 – 3 june 2018
Berlin, DE
Working specifically with time and duration, you will look at and enter different physical movement states. You will practice holding feeling states connected to your actions and investigate their sustainability. Some of the questions you will examine: How long can you hold a pause before the mental chatter starts to interrupt you? Can you return to your material once judgment has pulled you out of it? Are you able to switch back and forth from one state to another and still be invested in your movements?
Action Theater™ physical improvisation training is a body-based practice. By integrating the kinesthetic intelligence of dance with the emotive nature of acting, the training helps performers expand their physical forms and inhabit those forms with humanity.
